Song-Ba Empowerment Centre signed an MOU with Plan Ghana International to implement a project under the FRFM3 grants, which is to enable Song-Ba Empowerment Centre to promote community-level interventions to remove systemic socio-cultural and institutional practices that perpetuate violence and discrimination against women and girls in some selected communities in the Tamale Metro Assembly. The project, which is expected to last for six months, will create awareness and increase the knowledge of community members about the possible causes of SGBV. There will also be the economic empowerment of women SGBV victims who will be trained in the production of smock weaving. This is to enable them to have access to income-generating activities that will in turn provide them with their economic rights.
