LNGB project funded by Adamfo Ghana and CCHO to support 20 girls in Shea butter production

Year 2 of the LNGB project funded by Adamfo Ghana and CCHO is expected to support 20 girls in the production of Sheabutter has started in the Yong and Challam Communites all located in the Savelugu municipality.

We started with a sensitization activity to educate women and discourage them from cutting the shea trees as fuel for the home. The Yong and Challam communities have a lot of shea trees which will be feeding our Shea butter production Centre with nuts and so there is the need to protect the trees by providing the women with an alternative source of fuel for the kitchen.

A comprehensive training was provided for the women as to how to use farm waste to produce Chacoal. This was done successfully as the women were filled with so much joy to see how they can easily produce Chacoal without much capital.

Keeping following us for more updates as we soon uncover our New Centre that will host the 20 girl’s in the production of Sheabutter.
