Following arrival and registration, the Northern Region launch of the Migrant Media Action (#MMAct) Project officially commenced with opening formalities that set the tone for the day.
The session began with an opening prayer, followed by the introduction of dignitaries and key stakeholders present. Representatives from traditional leadership, government institutions, media houses, youth-led organisations, and civil society were acknowledged for their commitment to advancing informed migration dialogue.
In the welcome address delivered by the Executive Director of Song-Ba Empowerment Centre (Mrs. Rhoda Brace), participants were reminded of the importance of responsible migration narratives and the role collaboration plays in promoting safe migration options and positive alternatives to irregular migration.
The strong institutional presence reaffirmed a collective commitment to strengthening migration literacy efforts in the region.
