With support from Plan International Ghana under the Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) Project, Song-Ba Empowerment Centre has received significant logistical and livelihood support to enhance its operations and impact.
As part of this support, the Centre was provided with a motor tricycle to facilitate the transportation of logistics and products produced by beneficiaries, particularly those enrolled in the smock weaving programme. In addition, a motorcycle was donated to support field activities, monitoring, and day-to-day operations, enabling our team to work more efficiently and reach beneficiaries with greater ease.

Furthermore, 40 weaving machines were distributed to beneficiaries of the programme. This means that each girl and woman now has access to her own personal weaving machine—an essential component of their start-up support. This intervention not only strengthens their skills development but also provides a practical pathway toward financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.
These contributions represent a major step forward in our efforts to economically empower survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). By equipping beneficiaries with the necessary tools and resources, we are helping them rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence, and self-reliance.
We are deeply grateful to Plan International Ghana for their continued support and commitment to empowering women and girls and for partnering with us to create lasting, positive change in our community.
